These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the BigTooth mobile application ("App") operated by The Tooth Care Company Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
To create a BigTooth parent account, you must be at least 18 years old. Children may use the App only under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian who has created a parent account.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Managing child profiles and device pairings within your family
- Ensuring that information you provide is accurate
3. Use of the App
BigTooth is designed to encourage and verify proper toothbrushing habits in children. You agree to use the App for its intended purpose and not to:
- Attempt to circumvent or manipulate the AI verification system
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with the operation of the App
- Upload inappropriate or harmful content
4. Gold Karats & Rewards
Gold Karats are an in-app reward mechanism managed by parents. Gold Karats have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. Parents set the real-world value and redemption rules for Gold Karats within their family.
5. Photos & Camera Use
The App uses the device camera during brushing sessions to capture verification photos. By using the App, you consent to:
- Photos being captured automatically during brushing sessions
- Photos being uploaded and stored securely for parental review
- Photos being processed by AI for brushing verification
Photos are stored securely and are only accessible to the parent account holder. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
6. Content
Educational content packs (quizzes, facts, stories) are provided for entertainment and educational purposes during brushing. Content is filtered by age group. We do not guarantee the accuracy of all educational content and it should not be considered professional dental advice.
7. Not Medical Advice
BigTooth is a brushing habit tool, not a medical device. The App does not provide dental or medical advice. The AI verification system checks for general brushing activity, not brushing technique quality. Always consult a dental professional for oral health guidance.
8. Availability
We aim to keep BigTooth available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.
9. Intellectual Property
The BigTooth app, including its design, content, and features, is the intellectual property of The Tooth Care Company Limited. "Big Tooth" and "Cartoon Shield" are trademarks of The Tooth Care Company Limited.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@mybigtooth.com.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
